The dispute between the Tamil Film Producers Council (TFPC) and actor Dhanush seems to have been resolved as the organisation revoked the ban on him. On August 1, TFPC issued a red card to the actor preventing him from signing any projects till the accusations issued against him were resolved. The council advised the producers to seek permission from the council before signing the actor for any new project.
The controversy arose after Dhanush received advance payments from production houses like Thenandal Films and Five Star Creations and never turned up for the shoot. Following these complaints from the production houses, TFPC imposed a red card on Dhanush, halting his ability to work on new projects. This issue was resolved after Dhanush agreed to repay the advance amount along with interest to Five Star Creations and commit to a project with Thenandal Films. Nadigar Sangam, officially known as the South Indian Artistes Association, expressed his displeasure with the TFPC's decision, describing it as completely unacceptable. After the resolution of the issue, Dhanush thanked the Nadigar Sangam for their intervention in the issue.
Additionally, Dhanush is gearing up for his new outing in Tamil cinema. The official page of Dawn Pictures shared a news, writing 'NEW BEGINNINGS! Dawn Pictures launches with a bang! We are proud to announce our maiden project #D52.' This project sees Dhanush wearing the dual hat of an actor and director for a maiden film titled D52.
Besides this, he will also be seen in Sekhar Kammula's 'Kubera', starring Rashmika Mandanna, Nagarjun and Jim Sarah. The makers of the recently released the first look of the actor.
The last project that the actor did was, 'Raayan', directed and written by Dhanush himself. This Tamil-language film featured Dushara Vijayan, Amala Paul, Aparna Balamurali, and Kalidas Jayram among others.
