Renowned YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, famously known as BeerBiceps, is facing a major setback. Known for his popular podcast series, where he interviews celebrities from various walks of life, Ranveer has amassed a loyal fan base. However, his followers were left stunned by the shocking news of a cyberattack on his YouTube channels.
Late last night, two of Ranveer’s YouTube channels were hacked. The hackers renamed one channel to "Elon.trump.tesla_live2024" and the other to "Tesla.event.trump_2024," leaving fans confused and disappointed. In a more concerning move, all of the content on these channels, including BeerBiceps’ interviews and podcasts, was deleted. The hackers replaced it with videos promoting events featuring Elon Musk and Donald Trump, which left viewers in disbelief.
Ranveer Allahbadia’s Response
Ranveer Allahbadia, who was in Singapore at the time of the attack, addressed the situation almost a day later. Rather than panic, Ranveer took a humorous approach. Posting an Instagram story of himself enjoying a vegan burger in a Singapore restaurant, he wrote, “Celebrating my two main channels being hacked with my favourite food. Vegan burgers. Death of BeerBiceps met with Death of diet.”
In another Instagram post, he shared a selfie wearing a cartoon cat-eye mask, jokingly asking, “Is this the end of my YouTube career? Was nice knowing you all.”
Who is Ranveer Allahbadia?
Ranveer Allahbadia launched his YouTube journey under the channel name BeerBiceps, initially focusing on fitness tips, diet advice, and motivational talks. As his popularity grew, he expanded his content to include interviews with high-profile personalities through his podcast series, cementing his place as one of India’s most successful content creators.
Clarification: Not a PR Stunt
Viraj Sheth, co-founder of Monk Entertainment, the agency managing several top content creators, including Ranveer, confirmed that the hacking is genuine and not a PR stunt. Sharing a screenshot of the hacked channel with videos replaced, he humorously added, “Guess we are now selling Tesla cars and endorsing Trump for the time being.”
Sheth expressed confidence in YouTube’s ability to recover the channels and restore the original content. He emphasized, “We’re calm as we have full faith in YouTube’s hands-on team.”
