Creating a memorable experience for not just the couple but also for all the guests at an Indian wedding is no small feat. Delhi-based celebrity wedding planner Sachit Mittal has been accomplishing this task with remarkable flair. Known for his ability to personalize celebrations and craft unique themes, Sachit is paving a new path in wedding planning in India. Recently, he organized an extraordinary eco-friendly wedding that exemplifies his innovative approach.

A Passion for Personalization

Having previously planned the dreamy wedding of actors Pulkit Samrat and Kriti Kharbanda, Sachit emphasizes the importance of connecting with families and meticulously planning every detail. “Finding the venue, booking every detail—this is my favourite part of the job,” he explains. “It's about bringing a couple's dream to reality.”

An Eco-Conscious Celebration

The eco-friendly wedding took place in Chanakyapuri, Delhi, where Sachit ensured that every aspect adhered to sustainable practices. “We made sure that everything we used was biodegradable or reusable,” he shares. “There was no wastage at all, from the food to the décor and even the varmalas.”

To achieve eco-friendly décor, Sachit utilized eco-friendly cede paper for all the stationery used during the festivities. The greens incorporated into the décor were hired from a nursery and were then returned post-wedding to prevent wastage.

Unique Varmalas with a Purpose

One of the standout features of this wedding was the unique varmalas. Sachit explains that the flowers used for the var mala and the mandap were ordered from a specialized agency that conserves and creates incense sticks. “The garlands were crafted in a way that they could be preserved and taken home,” he notes. Guests were also given incense sticks as thoughtful gifts to take away, adding a personal touch to the celebration.

A Sustainable Reception

The couple's reception took place in Jhansi, where Sachit continued the eco-friendly theme. The décor included bamboo, jute ropes, cane furniture, and earthen pots, avoiding the use of ceramic or bone china cutlery. Glass water bottles were utilized, and all food ingredients were organic. The return gifts and mithai boxes were also crafted from cede paper, reflecting Sachit’s commitment to sustainability.

A Trailblazer in Wedding Planning

Sachit Mittal’s innovative approach to wedding planning sets him apart in the industry. By implementing groundbreaking ideas and prioritizing eco-friendliness, he is determined to make a couple's wedding the best day of their lives. His recent eco-friendly wedding is a testament to his vision, showcasing that love and sustainability can go hand in hand.
