Beef culture has become a defining feature of Indian hip-hop, capturing widespread attention in recent years. This trend became particularly notable after the high-profile feud between Emiway Bantai and Raftaar. Recently, the drama continued with the release of Emiway Bantai's new music video in collaboration with Punjabi singer Maninder Buttar.
The video for their track "Main Hawa Mein Hoon" has just dropped, but the excitement didn't stop there. King, a singer who recently had a public dispute with Emiway and has previously collaborated with Maninder Buttar, stirred up controversy by using the term "Lassi" in a derogatory manner against Maninder Buttar. This sparked further tension within the Punjabi music community.
However, King took to Instagram to address the rumors and clarify his stance. In a cryptic post, he stated: "khana aur dharam do alag cheezein hoti hain! kripya karke ye baatein na failaayi jaayein aur na meri stories ko kisi bhi haal-filhaal hue vaakya se joda jaaye. Na mera kisi se koi matlab, na mere dil me kisi ke liye nafrat aur naa hi kisi ki bhi dhaarmik bhaawnaao ko thes pohochana mera maqsad. kisi ko bhi mera kuch khaaana bura laga ho to main aajse khaane ki stories nahi daalunga. aapke liye social media pe chalayi jaane wali cheezein badi hongi. mere liye insaan aur uski bhawnaayein badi hain. khush raho. khaate peete raho. sabko mera pyaar. aur jhappi."
As of now, neither Maninder Buttar nor Emiway Bantai have commented on the situation.
