During the episode, Kareena Kapoor asked Aditya point-blank about his relationship status, acknowledging that the actor rarely opens up about his private life. “People want to know if you are single or taken,” Kareena said. Aditya, true to his mysterious nature, playfully dodged the question, responding, “My status? Is chilling a status? I am a chiller!”

Kareena, sensing there was more to the story, teased Aditya, calling him a “chhupa rustam” (a secretive one). Laughing, Aditya replied, “Good, let it be a mystery.”

Though he avoided a direct answer, Aditya did open up about his past relationships, sharing, “I have had many relationships over my ‘aged’ life. I wouldn’t say I’m commitment-phobic because I’ve had long relationships, especially in my 20s. Some lasted five years, others three. So, no, I’m not afraid of commitment. But you have to feel compelled to be with someone, and you shouldn’t get into a relationship just because you don’t like being alone. Loneliness is not a reason.”

The actor’s recent breakup with Ananya Panday has been the subject of much speculation. The couple, who had been dating for over two years, often dropped subtle hints about their relationship, from indirect mentions on talk shows to sharing vacation snapshots. Their romance rumours first sparked in 2022, but it seems their love story has now come to an end.

On the professional front, Aditya Roy Kapur is gearing up for his next project, Metro In Dino, directed by Anurag Basu, where he will share the screen with Sara Ali Khan. Meanwhile, Ananya Panday has her own exciting project lined up, starring alongside Akshay Kumar and R. Madhavan in a Karan Johar-backed film about C. Shankar Nair.
