Mukesh Ambani recently visited the sacred shrines of Badrinath and Kedarnath in Uttarakhand to seek blessings before Diwali. Dressed in a traditional white kurta-pajama paired with a beige Nehru jacket. Surrounded by heavy security, heย joined the priests and other devotees for the religious ceremonies.ย
The industrialist embarked on the spiritual journey to the sacred shrines, and upon his arrival he was welcomed by Ajendra Ajay, the President of the Badrinath-Kedarnath Temples Committee (BKTC). As a part of his annual pilgrimage, after offering the prayers at both the temples, Ambani made a humungous donationation of Rs 5 crore to the BKTC.ย
Proposal of Tungnath Temple Development
The BKTC recently presented a proposal to Mukesh Ambani regarding the future development plans for Tungnath, the highest of the Panch Kedar temples. Ajay outlined the details for the temple's reconstruction and beautification seeking support, to which Ambani responded by assuring that Reliance Industries Ltd. would extend the necessary assistance.ย
Notably, the Ambani family has a tradition of visiting holy shrines, particularly Kedarnath and Badrinath, just before Diwali seeking blessings. Last year, Mukesh Ambani visited the shrines accompanied by his youngest son, Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. However, this year marked a change, as he made the visit solo.
In addition, the Ambani family has previously donated 20-kg gold crown of approximately Rs 15 crore, to the Lalbaugcha Raja idol in Mumbai for Ganesh Chaturthi.ย
