Superstar Shah Rukh Khan was greeted by a crowd of enthusiastic fans at Mumbai airport early Thursday morning as he departed for Abu Dhabi to host the highly anticipated IIFA Awards 2024. Accompanied by his trusted bodyguard and manager, Pooja Dadlani, SRK went through an eager crowd determined to catch a glimpse of the Bollywood icon.

Shah Rukh Khan Fans Frenzy

Dressed casually in his signature style, the 'King of Bollywood' sported a black hoodie, sunglasses, and a cap, effortlessly blending style and comfort. Despite the overwhelming attention, Shah Rukh remained composed, flashing his charming smile as he acknowledged fans while heading towards the terminal. His bodyguard was ever-present, ensuring the star's safety throughout the chaotic encounter.

The excitement surrounding the IIFA 2024 has been building for weeks, especially after a light-hearted press conference where Shah Rukh and his close friend Karan Johar exchanged playful banter. In true SRK fashion, he humorously teased Karan about his frequent hosting roles, saying, “Bhai, picture bhi bana na… kitna host karega tu?” This playful exchange showcased their enduring camaraderie, further fueling fans’ anticipation for the awards night.

Shah Rukh Khan is not only hosting the IIFA but is also set to appear in his upcoming film 'King', directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The movie is particularly special as it reportedly features his daughter, Suhana Khan, marking an exciting collaboration within the Khan family.

The International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA) will be held in Abu Dhabi from September 27 to September 29, 2024. The grand three-day celebration will kick off with IIFA Utsavam, an event dedicated to the southern film industries—Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Legendary actor Chiranjeevi will be honored at this star-studded affair.

On the second day, Shah Rukh Khan, Vicky Kaushal, and Karan Johar will take center stage to entertain audiences with their hosting skills. In a nostalgic return, the iconic Rekha will also grace the IIFA stage for the first time since 2018, when she mesmerized audiences with her timeless charm during a performance featuring hits like 'Pyaar Kiya Toh Darna Kya' and 'Salam-E-Ishq Meri Jaan.'

Reflecting on her upcoming performance, Rekha expressed her deep connection to IIFA: "IIFA holds a special place in my heart, representing not just a celebration of Indian cinema but a vibrant fusion of art, culture, and love on a global stage. It feels like home—a beautiful showcase where the magic of Indian cinema truly comes alive, and I've had the privilege of experiencing that magic firsthand over the years."

The night promises further entertainment with performances by Shahid Kapoor, Kriti Sanon, Ananya Panday, Janhvi Kapoor, and Vicky Kaushal. The event will culminate on September 29 with the invitation-only IIFA Rocks, featuring live performances by artists such as Honey Singh, Shilpa Rao, and the iconic trio Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy.

With its stellar lineup of stars, dazzling performances, and moments of nostalgia, IIFA 2024 is poised to be an unforgettable celebration of Indian cinema. Fans worldwide are eagerly awaiting the magic that will unfold on this global stage.
