The iconic 1989 serial Fauji, which marked the television debut of Shah Rukh Khan, is set to make a comeback with an updated version titled Fauji 2. This exciting new iteration is produced by Sandeep Singh in collaboration with India’s national broadcaster, Doordarshan.
Starring Vicky Jain and Gauahar Khan, Fauji 2 aims to capture the spirit of the original while introducing fresh talent to the screen. The cast features twelve new actors, including Aashish Bhardhwaj, Utkarsh Kohli, Rudra Soni, Amardeep Phogat, Ayaan Manchanda, Niel Satpuda, Suvansh Dhar, Priyanshu Rajguru, Aman Singh Deep, Udit Kapur, Maansi, and Sushmita Bhandari.
Adding to the excitement, renowned singer Sonu Nigam has lent his voice to the title track of Fauji 2, contributing to a musical landscape that will feature eleven songs composed by music director Shreyas Puranik. Additionally, the show will include a voiceover by the talented Sharad Kelkar.
The production team for Fauji 2 includes Sandeep Singh as the producer, with Vicky Jain and Zafar Mehdi as co-producers. The creative vision is led by Sameer Hallim, while Abhinav Pareek, known for directing Sab Moh Maaya Hai and A Wedding Story, takes the helm as director. Nishant Chandrashekhar also contributes as a director for the series.
Fauji 2 is poised to capture the hearts of a new generation while paying homage to its iconic predecessor. The show will air on Doordarshan, bringing this beloved story back to the small screen for audiences to enjoy once again.
