Kajol has graced the industry for many years, captivating audiences with her infectious screen presence and iconic roles. In a recent candid conversation, she expressed her gratitude for having lived a significant part of her life without the influence of social media, a sentiment that resonates deeply in today's digital age.

Having only returned to social media platforms six years ago, Kajol shared her views on the often unrealistic portrayal of life online. “I am thankful that I lived a whole life without social media,” she remarked, highlighting the challenges of navigating a world where every moment can be scrutinized. She emphasized that the glamorous snapshots seen on social media—such as her red carpet appearances—often conceal the hard work and dedication that goes into maintaining that image.

Kajol elaborated on the reality behind those glamorous moments, sharing her routine of waking up at 5 a.m. to prepare for events, often returning home late at night, only to rise early for another day of work. “People see a photo but overlook the effort behind it,” she noted, reminding her audience that what is presented online is merely a snapshot of a much more complex reality.

In discussing the challenges of online trolling, Kajol offered her “slightly different” perspective. She pointed out that public figures often face a duality of love and hate from their followers. “When people love you so much, they also feel they have the right to hate you that much,” she admitted, acknowledging the burden of public scrutiny. While she doesn’t condone the negativity, she recognizes it as part of the public figure experience and emphasizes the importance of resilience.

At 50, Kajol remains active on social media, using it as a platform to share her candid thoughts and connect with her fans.

On the work front, she is gearing up for the release of her upcoming film, Do Patti, a mystery-thriller co-starring Kriti Sanon and Shaheer Sheikh. Directed by Shashanka Chaturvedi and backed by Kanika Dhillon, the film is set to premiere on Netflix on October 25, 2024.
