The 76th Emmy Awards 2024 was produced by Jesse Collins Entertainment and went live on ABC. This event marked the second Primetime Emmy ceremony of 2024. For all the cinephiles the Emmy Awards ceremony is available for streaming on Hulu from 16 to 22 September. 

Wins of the 76th Emmy Awards

This ceremony of 76th Emmy Awards saw a significant win with 'Shogun', 'The Bear' and 'Baby Reindeer' bagging four awards each. 'The Bear', a comedy-drama series came into the night with 23 nominations and took home awards for best lead actor, best supporting actor, best supporting actress and best comedy series.

On the contrary, 'Baby Reindeer', a quirky British limited series by Richard Gadd, clinched the prestigious award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited or Anthology Series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Limited or Anthology Series. Richard Gadd who not only created the series but also starred in it, was honoured with Emmys for both Best Actor and Best Writer. 

In this Emmy night filled with surprises and historic wins, two shows, 'Shogun' and the 'Hacks' delivered knockout performances and dominated the stage. Shogun led this year's nominations with an impressive 25 counts, eventually winning in four categories, Outstanding Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actress in Drama Series, Outstanding Lead Actor in Drama Series and Best Directing for a Drama. 

'Hacks' star Jean Star was honoured with a standing ovation for Outstanding Lead Actress in Comedy Series. Her win at the 76th Primetime Emmy is a status of television's most enduring and beloved stars, making her a three time Emmy Award winner. Additionally, 'Hacks' emerged as a standout in the comedy category, beating 'The Bear' and winning the Best Comedy Series award. 

Besides the nominees, the ceremony was attended by various renowned celebrities including Viola Davis, Colin Farrell, Joshua Jackson, George Lopez, Steve Martin, and many more as presenters. Additionally, nominated artistes including Lily Gladstone, Selena Gomez, and Steve Martin also took over the stage to present awards in various categories.
