In a heartfelt video shared on Instagram this morning, pilot and content creator Ritu Rathee, wife of popular YouTuber Gaurav Taneja, has addressed the ongoing rumours about their separation. Ritu Rathee urged her followers to avoid villainizing her husband, emphasizing that marriage is a personal matter between two people.
Ritu Rathee Breaks the Silence
Ritu's message resonates with a statement previously made by Gaurav Taneja, also known as "Flying Beast" on social media, who responded to the divorce rumours by saying, “Men are made villains very fast.”
In her video, Rathee expressed frustration over the rumors and assumptions being made about their eight-year marriage. “A small thing happened between a husband and wife. He thought he was right, I thought I was right. He became stubborn, and so did I,” she explained. Dismissing the need for social media validation, Rathee said, “I don’t need support from social media. I quit social media one year ago, and I don’t regret it. People who live in glass houses love to gossip about others.”
On Saturday, Gaurav Taneja also shared a heartfelt note on Instagram, urging fans not to speculate or expect any official explanation from him regarding their personal matters. “I will remain quiet for my kids and the mother of my child. Ready to live with all the negativity and hate for my entire life. Please don’t expect any public explanation. Please stop making any assumptions,” he wrote.
The popular YouTuber further expressed his frustrations with how men are often portrayed during such situations. “Men are made villains very fast. We don’t cry, we talk less, and express less. Some of us are hardwired like that. Social media is not a place to discuss family matters. I have nothing to say. Hopefully, everything will be sorted soon,” he added.
The couple, who tied the knot in 2016, share two daughters, Rashi and Pihu. Gaurav Taneja, who has a massive following on social media, made headlines in 2022 when he was arrested in Noida for allegedly violating Section 144 of the CrPc after thousands of his fans gathered at a metro station to celebrate his birthday, a surprise planned by Ritu.
As rumours continue to swirl, both Gaurav and Ritu have chosen to address the situation on their terms, making it clear that their private life remains just that—private.
