Directed by Bilal Lashari, The Legend of Maula Jatt, the Pakistani action Drama was a remake of 1979's Maula Jatt, which was originally released in 2022. On its release, the movie was welcomed with mixed reviews from critics, while the ticket window at the theatre emerged as a historic success and became the first Punjabi film to enter the 100 crore club globally, making it the first Pakistani and Punjabi-language film to achieve this score at the worldwide box office.

Based on the 1979 classic, this movie is based on Nasir Adeeb's character wherein the storyline delves deep into the intense rivalry between Maula Jatt and Noori Natt.
Fawad Khan is known for his roles in Hindi movies like 'Khoobsurat' and 'Kapoor & Sons,' whereas Mahira Khan was seen with King khan in 'Raees'. Both of their's career came to a pause after the Uri attack of 2016 which resulted in border closure and a ban on Pakistani artists in Indian cinema.
