Following the blockbuster success of Shaitaan, R Madhavan is set to take on a romantic comedy alongside Fatima Sana Shaikh, under the prestigious banner of Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment. An official announcement from the production team revealed that this film will present an age-defying love story, directed by Vivek Soni.
The romantic comedy is slated to begin production by the end of this month, although specific plot details remain under wraps. Early insights suggest a quirky narrative revolving around an elderly man who falls in love with a younger woman, setting the stage for an intriguing exploration of love across generations.
This film marks Fatima's second collaboration with Dharmatic Entertainment. She previously worked with the OTT wing of Karan Johar's Dharma Productions in the Netflix anthology series Ajeeb Daastaans. For Madhavan, this project signifies a return to the romantic genre, a departure from his recent role as a black magician in Shaitaan, which was directed by Vikas Bahl and also featured Ajay Devgn.
Fans of Madhavan, particularly those who adored him in Rehna Hai Tere Dil Mein, are eagerly anticipating this shift back to romance. This upcoming film will be his second venture with Dharma Productions, following his role in the biopic of C. Shankaran Nair.
