Rakul Preet Singh who recently tied knot with the love of her life, Jackky Bhagnani, celebrated her first Karwa Chauth despite facing back injury. The actress is currently on a bed rest due to an injury that she sustained during a workout session. She shared a beautiful picture on her instagram stories, where she was seen dressed in a stunning red outfit, completing her look with sindoor, radiating joy and elegance even while recovering.
Despite the injury she did not deter her from celebrating her first Karwa Chauth in the most adorable and heartwarming manner. Alongside, she also shared a slew of images on her social media captioning, "My sun, moon, universe, my everything. Happy Karwachauth from us to you."
Earlier the day, Rakul shared glimpses of her minimal mehndi on her instagram feed. Re-sharing the story, husband Jackky Bhagnani wrote, "I am so hungry but I won't eat."
Last week, Rakul suffered a serious back injury while performing a deadlift, when she lifted 80 kg without a belt resulting in a painful spasm, leaving her bedridden. Following her injury, the actress shared a health update on her instagram story and said, "Well here's a little health update. I did something very stupid. I didn't listen to my body. I had a spasm, kept pushing it, turned into a major injury and I have been in bed for the last six days and I think it will take another week or so for me to fully recover. I really hope I recover faster than that because it's not easy for me to give in and rest but it's a lesson learnt that please listen to your body when it gives you signals. Don't try to push. I thought that my mind was stronger than my boy and it doesn't always work like that." Concluding the video, she thanked everyone for their wishes and heartwarming messages. "I will bounce back stronger. Lots of love," said the actress.
Meanwhile, Karwa Chauth is one of the major festivals especially for marries Hindu women, who observe a day-long 'nirjala' (without water) fast, for a long and healthy life for their husband. All the women can break their fast after the sighting of the 'chandrama' (moon).
