Actor Raghav Juyal, after taking a break for five years started afresh in the Bollywood industry. In 2014, Raghav debuted as an actor by playing a pivotal role in the comedy film, Sonali Cable, co-starring Rhea Chakraborty and Ali Fazal. After quitting TV, he said it was time when he had to take a genuine call to be invisible from the public eye and concentrate on his craft.
Succeeding in films like, ABCD 2 (2015) and Street Dancer 3 (2020), he is known for his impeccable roles in 'Kill' and 'Gyaarah Gyaarah' for this year. But his third release–Yudhra, failed to make a mark at the box office. Directed by Ravi Udyawar, the stylish action-drama could not lure the audience at the ticket window.
In an interview, when asked Raghav about Yudhra's Box Office failure, he candidly said, "Nahi pasand aayi hogi logon ko to nahi gaye honge dekhne wo. Ab koi zabardasti to nahi hai." He said if Yudhra had come first, he might have been disappointed but people recognised the actor in him with his previous two projects of 'Kill' and 'Gyaarah Gyaarah'.
The 33-year old actor shared that 'Kill' has completely changed his life, as delving into serious and villainous roles made a conscious decision of not doing comedy. He explains that to break an image you need to do a path-breaking character, as working in TV had become monotonous for him.
Talking about how patient he has been over the course of his career. After the Box Office failure of Yudhra, his journey is a reminder that even talented actors face setbacks. His resilience and willingness to learn from failures are admirable. Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: Raghav Juyal's candour has sparked a necessary conversation.
